Ok, I went to the doctor yesterday as I had been sick since saturday. Turns out that I have bronchitis. Anyways, when I went in to get my bp, pulse and temp, they also weighed me and measured my height. Good news: I weigh around 175 lbs. Bad news: My height is 67 1/4"..... 5 freaking feet 7 and 1/4 inches!!!! Did I shrink? Dorman had a grand time teasing me about being the shortest person in our group whenever we went out when I was in Germany, but I am used to his wise ass comments about me being shorter than him. I always thought I was between 5'9" and 5'10". All this wouldn't be so bad if I didn't wear a size 14 shoe.

I'm convinced that both scales and measuring tapes are off at all doctor's offices. I could go to 10 different offices and I would weigh and measure something different. I went to a doctor one year and I was 5'7". The next year I was 5'9". That's two inches difference (in case you can't subtract)! Maybe you grew? you say? Not at age 30 I didn't. I wouldn't worry about it.
Hope you feel better dude, & yes we shrink as we get older...I lost a little from my back surgery :(
I used to be 5'7", now I'm 5'6". When did all this happen??? Is it us or is it them?
especially funny now that mein Frau is at least 3 inches taller than you!!! haha
